Playwrights is CANCELED Oct. 15

Due to the double whammy of Best Man rehearsals (with a huge number of our Play Readers, especially men, cast) and auditions for Christmas Carol on Tuesday night, Play Readers and Writers is officially a victim of our own success--and we'll have to postpone reading Claud's new draft until Nov. 18!

Play Readers will meet Oct. 28 at 7 pm at the Campus Theatre to read a play out loud.

Play Readers will next meet Tuesday, Oct. 14, at 7 pm at the Campus Theatre to read a play out loud. Last week, we read A Christmas Carol, in anticipation of auditions Oct. 20 and 21.

Play Readers will meet Oct. 7

Play Readers will next meet Tuesday, Oct. 7, at 7 pm at the Campus Theatre to read a play out loud. Depending on attendance, we should read A Christmas Carol on either Oct. 7 or Oct. 13 (or both) in advance of auditions Oct. 20 & 21. Play Readers will meet Sept. 23


Play Readers will meet Sept. 23 (at 7 pm at the Campus Theatre) to read a play out loud.Two weeks ago, we read Gore Vidal's The Best Man again in anticipation of auditions on Sept. 15 and 16. Congratulations to Play Readers John Rodgers, Susanne Coffey, Johnny and Amber Bryant, Johnny Williams, Karen Gossett, Wes Porter, Bryan Thomas Patrick, and Dan Creson, who have all been cast in the show! And it's so wonderful that the show is directed by Play Reader Brad Speck and Assistant Directed/Stage Managed by Dennis Welch.

Play Readers will meet Sept. 9

Play Readers will meet Sept. 9 (at 7 pm at the Campus Theatre) to read a play out loud. Last week, we read Beth Henley's Crimes of the Heart. this week, we are planning to read Gore Vidal's The Best Man again in anticipation of auditions on Sept. 15 and 16. Please email thedctteam@campustheatre if you're planning to attend on Tuesday, so we can make the final call about this by Monday afternoon. If we don't have interest/numbers for The Best Man, we'll read something else.

Playwrights of Denton will meet September 16, and we've got a revised script to read from Playwright Claud Singer--so play readers and well as writers are welcome!
