No Play Readers March 31

Tuesday, March 31st, is the fifth Tuesday in the month, so Play Readers will have a break that night--the next meeting of Play Readers of Denton will be Tuesday, Apr. 7. Last week, we read Mixed Nuts by Simon Donoghue and Nancy Manera.

The next meeting of Playwrights of Denton is scheduled for Tuesday, April 21, and we have a playwright who would like to read a portion of a new play. We're looking for 3 men and 3 women for this one, or as close to that as we can get--please email thedctteam@campustheatre.com if you know you can help us out with this!

DCT's POINTBank Black Box production of Sarah Treem's A Feminine Ending runs this weekend; general admission seats are $15. Play Readers include Mandy Rausch (Director), Melanie Welch (Assistant Director), and Buster Maloney. More info at www.dentoncommunitytheatre.com.

Playwrights will NOT meet March 17

The next meeting of Playwrights of Denton is scheduled for Tuesday, April 21, if any playwrights contact us about having something to read or discuss (if you do, please contact thedctteam@campustheatre.com as soon as you know). We won't be meeting in March because it falls on Spring Break and the load-in/rehearsal for our contest show at the state competition in Lewisville.

We will meet Tuesday, March 24, at 7 pm at the Campus Theatre to read a play out loud. (And FYI, the following Tuesday, the 31st, is the fifth Tuesday in the month, so Play Readers will have a break that night!)

Play Readers will (probably) meet March 10

Barring another bout of wintry weather, Play Readers will meet Mar. 10 at 7 pm to read a play out loud. We can't always make it in to the Campus ourselves to update about closings, so when in doubt, please stay home and stay safe. If schools and offices in Denton have been closed, you can pretty much bet that we've chickened out at the theatre! Last week, we read Sam Bobeck's Getting Sara Married.

Music Theatre of Denton's production of Pageant opens tonight and runs through next weekend. Come support our sister organization! Tickets through the Music Theatre of Denton website or the Campus Theatre box office (M-F 1-5 pm and an hour before each performance).
