Play Readers will meet April 3

Play Readers of Denton will meet Tuesday, April 3, at 7 pm to read a play out loud at the Campus Theatre, 214 W. Hickory in Denton. Last week, Play Readers swore in Finnish and tried to fake our way through a lot of unfamiliar Swedish and German place names while we read Olov Enquist's The Night of the Tribades.

The next meeting of Playwrights of Denton will be April 17 at 7 pm.

The winners of the Method and Madness Playwriting Festival will be announced by Monday! We'll be looking for interested directors and performers for the staged readings at the Method and Madness Festival May 31-June 2. Please email thedctteam@campustheatre.com or call 940 382-7014 x3 if you'd like to be involved.

DCT's POINTBank Black Box production of Dog Sees God runs this weekend. It's directed by Play Reader Kenny Fudge and features performances by Play Readers Mandy Rausch and Melanie Welch.

The next DCT MainStage production, the musical version of Little Women, opens April 6 and runs weekends through April 15. Play Reader Buster Maloney directs, and Play Readers Clay White and Johnny Williams are featured. Tickets are available online at http://www.campustheatre.com/, over the phone (M-F 1-5; you'll probably have to leave a message as calls have been heavy) at 940 382-1915, or in person at the box office (M-F 1-5 and one hour prior to each performance).

The Second Saturdays Seminar on April 14 (1-3 at the Campus Theatre) will be a DCT Open House, where you're welcome to come and ask questions about how to get involved, how we choose plays and directors or anything else you've been wondering about. Outreach Director Julie Brinker will answer your questions, pass along your suggestions, or put you in touch with the DCT person-in-the-know!

Auditions for DCT's MainStage production of Arthur Miller's All My Sons are April 9 and 10 at the Campus Theatre starting at 7 pm. Julie Crawford, Executive Director of the American Association of Community Theatres and former Managing Director of Denton Community Theatre, directs.
